Don't get me wrong, this is awesome news, and obviously Fred "Pimp Daddy" Thompson is far more qualified to be President than <i>anybody</i> the Demon-cRAT Party could possibly come up with.

But in the pantheon of Republican He-Men Action Stars, he ranks way down the list. Could Thompson singlehandedly mow down an entire building full of terrorists like Bruce Willis? Could he put blue paint on his face and chop off the heads of British invaders like Mel Gibson? If Skynet ever achieves self-awareness and starts exterminating the human race, could Thompson protect us like The Governator? Hell, Chuck Heston has been dead for four years, and the liberals <i>still</i> haven't pried the rifle from his cold, dead fingers! Can Thompson say the same?

I say we nominate The Governator. Sure, he wasn't born in America, so the Constitution prohibits him from being President, but as Dear Leader has so famously <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22just+a+goddamn+piece+of+paper%22&btnG=Search">pointed out,</a> it's just a goddamn piece of paper!
