Donald Rumsfeld did everything this world could have asked him too.

He knew Saddam was a threat, even if the evidence didn't agree with that statement.

I mean, he MET the Saddam in person, and he knew for a fact that Saddam had weapons, because he had given them to him personally.

So now they want to try him for "War Crimes," and for what?

For starting a war? For torturing some people for information? Is that it?? Big deal.

If you ask me, Donald Rumsfeld deserves the Medal of Freedom from the President. He did a fantastic job as Secretary of Defense for the last 6 years, and he deserves his due.

The President has already given the medals to George Tenent (Mr. "Iraq has WMDs is a slam dunk"), Tommy Franks (Mr. "I don't need a post war plan cause I'm getting outta here"), and Paul Bremer (Mr. “Hey, anyone seen that 6 Billion Dollars?”). Some may also know Bremer as Mr. "Lets disband the Iraqi Army, and fire 100,000 trained soldiers who speak Arabic, forcing them to go home, with their guns and ammo").

When it comes to the success of the Iraq war, the only people left out of that group were Rumsfeld and Cheney, and now that Rumsfeld has retired, he should be honored accordingly!

If I were Rumsfeld, and I wish I were (he is a wonderful and amazing person), I would go to Germany to face the charges, and then just as they are bringing in the jury… BAM!! I would have Bush stand up and award me the Medal of Freedom! RIGHT IN THEIR FACE!!!

That's what I call shock and awe!

What could they do after that? The jury would have made up its mind right there on the spot. From that moment forward they would only believe that Donald Rumsfeld was a saint who saved them from the terrorists (which is true, and if you say otherwise you will be disappeared).

The Germans would probably end up giving him a medal too. Maybe the "Danzig Cross" or the "Meritorious Order of the German Eagle"?

If there is one thing that Germans should respect, it is a war leader who will do whatever it takes to win, and Donald Rumsfeld is just that kind of leader.
