One topic I don't like to discuss with my liberal "acquaintances" is the topic of poverty.
I hate hearing about poverty. If these people would just go out and get jobs, we won't have this problem!!
I don't get it! I mean, just look at me! Why am I not living in poverty?
I did the right things. After my sophomore year at a private University, I had my dad get me an internship at the company where he is a VP.
Two years later I graduated and instead of living on the street and pushing up the poverty numbers, I choose to accept a consulting job with a "Big 5" company. So instead of being poor, I was wealthy.
It's so simple! I don't get it really... these "poverty people."
No one wants to talk about the fact that these people like living like they do. They don't ever have to worry about losing their job. They never need to get up early for work. They never have to worry about their pensions, or retirement, or healthcare premiums, or the performance of the portfolio, or what their coworkers will think of their new car etc.
In short, they lead a very care-free life. So why is it the role of the government to make these people do something different? I believe they should be allowed to live how they want.
But back to the poverty numbers.
Liberal asshats love to throw a meaningless static in my face whenever I start yelling at them about Bush's economic policy. "Poverty" levels declined every single year under Clinton, and have increased every single year under George W. Bush.
I knew this had to be bogus because Bush kept telling me about how great the economy was doing all this time.
Today, we finally got the answer, and just as I expected, it was the Liberal Elite and their pals (illegal aliens) causing the rise in the numbers... on purpose!!
There are 2 factors impacting the poverty numbers in a negative way for President GWB.
1) Illegal alients are flooding into our country by the billions, usually 10-15 per car, and each of them is worth absolutely nothing when they enter the country. Even if you are "rich" in mexico, in the US you are in poverty. I read about a Mexican who sold his house and took the money to the US to start a new life, and the only thing he afford with the money from his house was a used lawn mower. It's that bad! So even if every person right now makes $100,000 over the next year, the poverty numbers will still be large because of the billions of mexicans coming over here, who having yet made their fortunes in the US market.
2) Liberal Elites taking years off work. Liberal Elite, who are the educated northeast liberal democRATs, have made so much money thanks to the Bush economy, that they can afford to take years and years off from work. So at the end of the year they have no income, so they are counted in the poverty numbers!! They are doing this on purpose in order to make our president look bad, but it won't work in the end. The world has never seen an economy this strong, and the liberal media can't hide the fact that all Americans are better off than they were 5 years ago forever. The truth will get out.
